I've been having a busy time lately and some of it has been a bit rough. The weekend was particularly hectic but I shall allow my delightful Jolly Good Chum tell you about it here. I think I'm still recovering from the weekend because I seem to be compsoed of aches and pains. I suppose most of them were received when I was trying to get the poor cow out of the mire. It's pretty hard to push over half a tonne of cow without straining a muscle or several. I'm pooping the Pink! Smarties! like they were going out of fashion (600mg Ibuprofen is my friend!). Not all of my aches and pains are from the weekend. I managed to drop a 5-bar gate onto my foot earlier this afternoon and my foot has swollen up to the extent that wearing shoes is quite painful. however, I'm just about to take Ivan to Movie Club and then meet Mendi for a coffee at the poshest hotel in Stamford so I can hardly pop out in my fluffy slippers.

Anyway, my cumulative injuries and other stuff have made me decide to take the day off tomorrow. I'm going to take some time to myself to follow up some "proper-job" leads, tidy the house ready for when my Mam's visits for a week on Thursday and generally try and sort my head out a bit. Even my boss at the farm, Jan recognised my need for this, saying that my aura needed work! And he is the most un-new-agey person I've met for a while.
